Here's the deal::

This is a photography Workshop for those who want to spend time with me in FRANCE, deepening their work. It's for people who either have a project they are already working on, or want to start something new and use the location and energy of France to infused their work even more. It's for people who want to have more connection and 1:1 time with me, get feedback and more tools from me to expand their photography skills and hone their craft. So.... All of YOU are ready for this workshop.

This isn’t like anything I've ever created before. It's truly for advanced students to work on their work with me by their side. This isn't for entry level creatives who want to learn what conceptual photography is. It's for those of you who want to devote themselves to their art, get away from it all and be in the incredible South of France and explore this beautiful area with your cameras, your ideas and with me! And because of the size of this workshop, I will want to hear from each participant what they want to learn from me while we are there so I can make sure to include that into the teachings.


Oh and wait! Oh wait.... Makenna has offered to do a life or business coaching session for each participant as well. Details:

Sept 2-5 Julia Child's House. ( we will be checking out of the house on the morning of the 5th )
Sept 5-7th Cannes, France ( this is a 30 minute train ride with me to Cannes and is an optional extension. Of course, you can stay on your own for as long as you like. I recommend it!)

At Julia Child's House :: we will have structured days where we meet at specific times for my teaching, travel to Valbonne and Grasse and time for feedback and critique.

Makenna will be making breakfast and Lunches for us at the house ( yes, In Julia Child's Kitchen !! )

I will be taking you out for Dinner on one of the nights and there will be food at the house for dinner spreads
( again, in the famous kitchen! )

On Sept 5th:: We pack up and head to the train to Cannes for anyone wanting to add the extension. Others will be driven to the airport that morning.

In Cannes - You’ll make your own lodging arrangement: I’ll give you a list of recommended places, or you can stay in an airbnb. Accommodations and meals are not included in this leg of the workshop. You can all plan ahead of time to stay together in a house or hotel if you like. This is time to immerse yourself in France and in your work… and to have one-on-one time with me.

This is devoted, dedicated time for yourself and your creativity. It’s super easy to visit other areas of France by train for day trips or simply stay immersed in beautiful Cannes. I'll be staying in Cannes, where you can add as many 1:1 sessions with me as you like for an extra fee. You can schedule these in advance if you like, or simply see how it goes and what you need each day. At night, we will meet for dinners (again, not included in the pricing ), I’ll look at your work and give you more feedback as a group.

Cost: $2200.00 :: this is for everything at Julia Child's House, Sept 2nd - 5th. ( the price goes up to $2800 this Saturday, June 18th )

  • Accommodations for 3 nights and 4 days at Julia Child's house. ( normally $650 a night! )
  • Breakfast and Lunch made by Makenna Johnston at the house.
  • All Travel expenses to visit Valbonne, Grasse and anywhere else our heart leads us during Sept 2-5th.
  • A 1:1 life or coaching session with Makenna Johnston ( normally $800+ per session! )
  • 1:1 time with Catherine Just at Julia Child's house.
  • All teachings with Catherine Just Sept 2nd - 5th.
    • ** Sept 5th - 7th is an extension. Catherine will be paying for the train to Cannes on the morning of Sept. 5th.
    • During the Cannes extension you can pick where you like to stay, accommodations are not included.
    • Meals are up to you. Catherine Just will be available for Dinners if interested.
    • 1:1 sessions are available daily with Catherine Just at an added fee of $250 for the hour.
    • Any added travel you'd like to do during this time is not included.
    • Each night you are welcome to meet with Catherine Just for feedback on your work with the group as a whole. It is not required.


Flights are not included ( I found flights as low as $600 Round Trip into Paris from Los Angeles so don't think it's out of reach! I can send you links to websites to find great fares. )
