The ongoing projects about my son Max who happens to have Down syndrome.

Stereotypes about Down syndrome distort reality.

When you see my son, initially you don’t see Max, you see Down syndrome. This project is an investigation of what happens when we label, leave, discard, disrespect, decide and distort the truth about individuals that have Down syndrome and it’s far reaching effects on us all. The intention is to raise awareness that we are all individuals with unique and inherent value and to peel away the decisions we make about people to learn about the person behind the projection.

In Plain Sight : Gathering Evidence of what’s going right.

This is an online course I teach that’s based on the experience of disconnection to presence.

This is becoming a published book.

It’s a 3 year documentation of my son and myself during nap time with layers of internal conversation that kept me from being with my son until I noticed what was happening and used photography to bring myself back “home”.
