I realized today that when an artist is truly willing to be exposed and seen, I feel seen by the work itself, which was my experience today as you walked us through. Especially the chairs. And that deeply personal one I think is called fawning felt like it was for me and I’m sure many women feel that way when they look at it. Feeling the story in the space was so beautiful. I learnt a lot from that. Also I really appreciated the creative energy and respect between you and Alan. It’s always an authentic experience with you. Thank you for that.”

It was beautiful to see the show and I loved that you talked about your motivations but you refused to explain detail of what each thing was exactly about and you really do want the viewer to have their own experience with the work and I think that and the conversation that resulted from that was just so rich and I love hearing about your collaboration with Alan. I love that you mentioned that moment where you thought “oh my God this is gonna look like a terrible art school project” and that was just so relatable because there’s that second-guessing and I love that the questioning process just made you come around to a deeper conviction of how it needed to be displayed and how it all came together.
